Olympus Updates Its PEN Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Cameras – PEN E-PL5 And E-PM2

Olympus updated its PEN lite E-PL5 and mini E-PM2 mirrorless Micro Four Thirds cameras. These cameras now has the TruPic VI image processing engine found in their flagship m 4/3 OM-D EM-5. The new image processing engine and 16 megapixels sensor promises a better image quality than its predecessors. As you can see on the PR images above, Olympus now incorporates the hand grip found on the higher PEN model E-P3 which is a welcome design update. Stylish Fujifilm XF1 Compact Camera Now Out

Fujifilm brings in a cheaper model X brother of the X100 and X10. The XF1 is a stylish compact retro looking digital point and shoot camera that inherits many features of last years higher model the X10. Its a 12 MP cam with f1.8 largest opening at wide end (25mm) while the long end (100mm) is a struggling f4.9 small aperture. Nikon D600 – The “Affordable” Full Frame DSLR is Now Official

Nikon officially announced the D600 Full Frame DSLR. The new “low-end” FF camera boasts a 24.3 megapixels 35mm CMOS FX-format sensor. Nikon stated that the D600 is lighter and sexier than its higher end model D800. The camera has the Full HD video recording that is the norm nowadays, but the bigger sensor will surely give cleaner and better IQ and depth-of-field. Sony just announced its 35mm sensor full frame camera in a true compact body making it the world’s first digital camera to have such sensor and size combo. Rejoice Nikonians / Nikonites! Theres a rumor brewing for the past few weeks that Nikon will announce its cheaper full frame camera codename “D600″ this week September 13. This rumor has a very high possibility of being real, because first, the real-looking leaked images and second, there will be two events in Thailand and Dubai on the said date that out the blue Nikon just announced. As expected rumors can be true, the EOS M digital mirrorless camera is here. Its an 18 megapixels APS-C compact interchangeable lens camera with a new mount called EF-M. Canon Announced New Features in EOS 7D’s 2.0.x Firmware

Canon just teased its customers that its 2 year old EOS 7D will have new features with its upcoming firmware 2.0.x. The firmware will enable the camera to shoot an additional 10 frames bursts to its existing 15 burst continous shooting in RAW making it now a speedy 25 RAW burst camera. Of course JPEG burst capacity will also be increased from 126 to 130 Large JPEG Fine, it also promises to have an internal editing functions such as rating, in-camera resizing, in-camera RAW processing and some minor tweaks. Canon just announced its newest entry level DSLR camera, the EOS 650D. The APS-C powered sensor packs an 18 megapixels resolution. The new camera now has the vari-angle 3″ LCD screen that we’ve seen from its higher end but old models like the 60D and 600D, more interestingly 650d’s touchscreen if the first DSLR of its kind from the company.
